從週日剛跨年完就被瘋狂 tease 到滿心期待，Ed 終於在 1/6 周五釋出新歌了！
而且一次兩首！非常 bouncy 又洗腦的 Shape Of You (你的身影)
以及充滿陽光奔跑感的、upbeat 又 cheerful 的 Castle On The Hill (山丘上的城堡)
並且各大媒體和許多粉絲們都認為這個天藍色的封面上
一個colon(:)跟一個dash(-)組成的符號divide(÷)將是下一張專輯的名稱
我個人也是這樣覺得啦XD
延續以往的專輯名稱"+(Plus)"跟"x(Multiply)"
如此mathematical symbols，只差"÷(divide)"跟"-(substraction)"了哪
我甚至看到有粉絲留言寫說"king of mathematics"，真是太鬧事啦～
另外有趣的是，除了這次天藍色的封面
看回以前專輯是橘色跟綠色調，讓我不禁好奇之後的顏色...
（而且Ed的推特大頭貼已經改成天藍色塊一段時間了，超會鋪梗XD）

這次Ed釋出的這首 Castle On The Hill
相對 Shape Of You 更蕩氣迴腸了一點
SOY 比較小品大眾，我一開始聽到覺得還不錯但不到非常驚豔的程度，
但關掉音樂沒多久我腦中就一直浮現 SOY 跳動的音符...
必須說真的很喜歡 Ed 的音樂
看到有人說就算 Ed 把食譜唱出來也會照單全收，覺得可以 XD

回到這次翻譯的歌曲本身
這首'Castle On The Hill'敘述的是 Ed的童年追憶
以及他的故鄉 Suffolk (薩福克郡)
而在 Suffolk 的一個城鎮 Framlingham 弗瑞林姆之中，有一座城堡建築
↑ 這棟城堡建築就是他在這首歌裡所說的 castle ↓
↓↓↓ 並且Ed就是在這棟城堡的附近長大的哦！

並且這首又是一首 nostalgia (鄉愁、追憶) 的主題
nostalgia 的主題不知為何都很勾人心
我想大概是因為講了時間帶給人的收穫與無奈吧
我們長大的同時卻也失去了許多美好的東西，回頭一看才會明瞭
當初的快樂為什麼沒辦法再次感受呢？...
因為懂事了，不知不覺地、我們被世界馴服了
每次想到這點都會心微酸，有一種回不去了的感覺QQ

＞found my heart有點廣義，所以我用我覺得比較廣義的方式翻，有人說這是 fell in love for the first time and broke his heart for the first time in this town，但我個人認為這句不會特定指愛情，所以選擇翻成感動跟失望。

交過的朋友 都在時光裡逐漸淡去
And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long, I know I've grown
我已經好久沒見到那片令我激動的原野 我知道我長大了
＞roaring 除了咆哮的意思之外也有 very lively or successful; thriving 的意思，可以說 roaring trade (交易蓬勃)，所以可以說是類似蓬勃、充滿朝氣的意思；不過 roaring field 這種說法比較詩意，如果有道地的英文熟稔者知道這是什麼意思歡迎不吝告訴我XD，目前我理解成充滿活力的草原(?)，就是看著那片草原就很想要大吼的那種感覺，感覺草原也正在熱情的roaring...(這樣可以懂嗎QQ)

＞雖然沒有講是英里還是公里，但應該是英里；時速90英里換算成公制是時速144公里，嗶嗶嗶警察這裡違規超速哦（誤）；看了一些歌詞的解析，我認為是歸心似箭的意思：Driving at 90 is an expression that he does not care about how he gets there, but he just wants to get there fast.

＞其實我一開始看這句跟 MV 以為是 Ed 在年紀輕輕十五歲就幹了什麼大壞事 XD，結果沒想到只是在說喝酒抽菸啦，附帶一提在美國的飲酒合法年齡為 21、抽菸為 18；而英國的飲酒跟抽菸合法年齡都是 18；不過以上都只是籠統說法，嚴格程度跟執法規定還是依區域而定。

＞副歌裡唱的 you，或許有些人會想起 Ed 的前女友；不過在這首歌中除了 Genius 網友的解析，我也認為這裡的 you 是把整個故鄉給擬人化了，畢竟是唱著他的故鄉帶給他的一切回憶，於是 miss the way you make me feel，所有感受都宛如昨日；並且下句的 we 也不外乎是指故鄉和自己。

＂Youth never lasts forever. People grow up and move on. The reality of what really happens never matches what you plan on when you're young. The change in the lines comes when he sings "but these people raised me". Ed means that although all the people in his hometown went separate ways, maybe doing things they would never expect to achieve or become, Ed still wants to return to these people. They “formed” Ed during his childhood to what he has become now.＂
