歌曲介紹心得
終於翻了他們的歌曲，現已解散的 MCR
很遺憾其實我是在他們解散才認識他們，但也同時慶幸自己能聽到他們的歌曲
這首歌出自專輯黑暗行軍 "The Black Parade"
主唱說整張專輯圍繞在 The Patient 身上，一個因癌早逝的人
而這首 "Welcome to the Black Parade" 說的概念是
「當你死去時，死神會以你最美好的記憶形式出現」
而 The Patient 死去之時，因為小時候的一場遊行是他最深刻的記憶
所以死神化作 The Black Parade，來迎接他
這首歌作為專輯第一主打，開頭的 G 大調鋼琴前奏如今成為許多人的感觸
(鬧事)
當初第一次聽到這首歌，沒有看 MV，就純聽音樂
聽著起頭的鋼琴無助而清脆，接著慢慢的鼓聲愈漸激昂
突然開始奔跑起來的節奏，讓我的心頭也開始滿溢什麼
這種搖滾，不斷高歌 We'll carry on 這種超正面的 anthem 明明可能陳腔濫調
但主唱 Gerard Way 帶些嘶吼的高音飽含一分傷痛的靈魂
讓這首歌不是純粹的心靈雞湯，而是有痛有淚有人性的作品
dealing with demons 與心魔抗衡的這種主題
在他們前一張專輯 "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" 就有
但這張黑暗行軍更加成熟，也更富層次
這首歌裡吉他的曲折與整首歌的鋪陳讓我腦海裡出現一個孩子
他無所顧忌的狂奔
就算摔得七八爛也會馬上爬起來要追上什麼東西
我不知道他在追什麼，但似乎很耀眼
似乎追上後就擁有了一切。但真的會擁有一切嗎？
我唯一確定的是他在奔跑時，臉上掛著滿足的笑容
可以很矯情的說這首歌唱出一分希望、帶給歌迷一種難以言喻的眷戀與懷舊 (nostalgic)
這也是為什麼 MCR 久留人心，堪稱搖滾迷心目中的神團
看著他們現場演出還是好希望他們回歸出個新歌嗚嗚嗚嗚嗚

Marching 行軍、遊行，band 樂隊，示意圖：

上面是一整句，父親對兒子的訴說與期許
- savior of the broken 破碎人們的救世者
- save 拯救 savior 救世者
the + 形容詞代表有某種特性的一群人
最後一段 the beaten 表示被擊敗的一群人
the damned 表示命運多舛的一群人
He said, "Will you defeat them?
Your demons, and all the non-believers
all the non-believers 所有心無信念之人
之前翻過謎幻樂團的 believer 了，所以可以直接明白
non-believer 可以說是出賣了靈魂，充滿欺瞞與利益者
心中失去了最本初的信念，為錢或其他自利而作惡
The plans that they have made?"
they 承接上句是代表 non-believers
the plans 表他們為惡的計畫
"Because one day, I'll leave you
leave 這個字很有去，它可以是「離開」也可以是「留下」
如歌詞裡說的「我將離開你」
或是接下一句成為 I’ll leave you a phantom
變成「我將留下一份靈魂」

這裡的 she 有幾種可能
1. 死亡的意象
2. 指涉聖母瑪麗亞 (Mary Mother of God)
3. 主唱 Gerard Way 跟貝斯手 Mikey Way 兄弟兩人的祖母（另有一首歌 Helena 便是為她而唱）

And through it all, the rise and fall, the bodies in the streets
這句給我的畫面是臨死前的人生跑馬燈
以一種飛快的畫面掠過所有快樂與悲傷，還有街上的所有人群 (bodies)
用 bodies 這個字眼比 people 更有肉軀之感了
另有一說是巡迴過程中主唱 Gerard Way 藉由酒精與藥品讓自己有更好的舞台演出
因此說 the rise and fall 是樂團名氣的高揚與主唱 Gerard Way 的墮落
但放心他後來成功戒除那些壞癮頭了

有時候滿溢到無法由一顆心獨自承載
即便是寫了一首歌也無法完全表達

這句有點長先拆解一下
send you reeling 讓你騷亂；
- reel 有顛簸、踉蹌、蹣跚、暈眩的意思，字面上有捲動、滾動的意象
reeling from sth 因為某事而陷入混亂、因某事而深受衝擊
- 例如 We are reeling from a slumping economy
decimated dreams 被剝奪的夢想
decimate 是毀滅、剷除、大幅削減某事物的意思
所以這句總和意思是這世界讓你暈眩，因為它毀滅了許多夢想
Your misery and hate will kill us all
So paint it black and take it back, let's shout it loud and clear
Defiant to the end we hear the call
這兩句搞得好像解放軍哈哈哈哈
paint it black 塗黑了就看不見，然而 it 除了是代表夢想、信念等之外我想不太到了
defiant 是形容詞，表示對抗、挑釁、以高姿態抗拒強權的意思
這裡我解讀 defiant to the end 宛如抗拒夢想被消滅 (呼應 decimated dreams)

carry through 有種一路扛著、經歷很多事的畫面感

could not care at all 我他媽不在乎（兇什麼
could 可以 not care at all 一點都不在乎

do or die 作或死，直翻有點難聽，就是逼到懸崖邊了不跳就是死的概念
you’ll never make me 你永遠不會讓我… (cry, scare, give up)
這種保有空間的寫法我直接翻作，你不可能操控我，這種意思

play this part 好難翻，他讓我把活著解讀成一番故事或一齣戲
我們都想要在這個橋段、這個劇本裡頭玩得盡興
