2016/09/11 Keane釋出了為電影"A Monster Calls"量身而作的"Tear Up This Town"
來自英國的Keane(台譯基音樂團)
自從2013的精選合輯The Best of Keane發行之後，樂團宣布暫時休息
看來樂團生涯巡迴跟活動等等真的很累人，有時候需要脫離一下Keane的身分回到原本的生活
不過主唱Tom Chaplin在今年8月搶先回歸樂團發行了個人專輯"The Wave"
在兼顧樂團的狀態下個人音樂事業開始起步，我在推薦歌單裡也有放入他的歌<3
至今2016年算起來Keane已經有快三年沒有新作品了
這次發布了這麼吻合電影故事又令人感動的新音樂，想必Keane迷一定超級興奮XD
因為是為這部電影的劇情所寫的歌，所以先看一下電影的預告跟簡介會比較能與歌詞共鳴↓

最催淚的部分就是他媽媽罹癌後對他說的話啊啊啊我眼眶都泛紅了
"I wish I had a hundred years. A hundred years I could give to you."
而且歌詞中也有融入這幾句經典對話，配合音樂揪心效果絕佳 ;-;
看了劇情簡介之後，個人認為整首歌基本上就是以主角小男孩視角來呈現的
因為怪物的陪伴跟鼓勵讓他找到生命的出口
尤其副歌"Blinking in the sunlight as the walls come down"
walls彷彿就是男孩一直以來無法突破的心理障礙（校園霸凌、母親罹癌）
更廣義的說 就是人們一直不願面對的那些悲傷和負面情緒
當怪物讓walls倒下了，男孩一雙炯炯有神的眼睛在燦爛陽光下彷彿發現了希望
"Don't want your lessons in love / I want to tear it all up"
於是男孩藉由怪物的力量堅強地擊垮眼前一切阻礙
Keane讓我們藉由充滿希望的旋律釋放一切悲傷
