來自一張充滿謎團的專輯，No Phun Intended (aka NPI)

twenty one pilots的主唱：Tyler Joseph 在高二時獨立製作的 mixtape，共有19首歌

（mixtape在上一篇文說到意思是自製的合輯 cd 或卡帶，其實就是 underground cd）

而在2015之前，這張專輯都還能夠在他 purevolume 的帳號上聽到

但現在帳號被關閉了，也可以說 Tyler 是沒有正式釋出這張專輯的

現在網路上可以聽到的音檔，應該都是有 NPI 的網友上傳分享的

這篇是應置頂每日音樂留言的朋友要求而生的，否則其實我原本沒打算要先翻 NPI 的歌XD

這是Tyler在早期獨力完成的專輯（再次強調寫這張專輯時他才高二 :3 ...）

約莫在2007-08年完成的，於 twenty one pilots 在 Ohio (俄亥俄州) 成軍之前 (2009)

而這張專輯中可以很明顯發現 Tyler 的基督教成長背景與想法

如 Save (第四首曲目) 的 chorus 歌詞如下

"Jesus... Jesus... please.. SAVE!"

而我不是很喜歡翻關於宗教的歌曲

加上這專輯現在也很難追溯 cover art 跟 track list 的源頭，所以一切都有點神祕...

這張專輯的名稱 "No Phun Intended"

我想不意外的和下面這個片語有關：

no pun intended (=used to show you do not mean to make a joke about something)

pun是雙關語，no pun intended 就是用來強調自己的話沒有其他意思、沒有要刻意雙關

不過有時候也可以用來反諷，如這張專輯名稱本身就是個 pun 了

至於為什麼要把 pun 改成 "phun"？

phun其實就是fun，這又是一個pun！（這句也太饒舌）

phun 就是 fun 的另一種寫法，甚至有更 fun、extra fun 的意思

就跟我們故意講齁勝、猴嗨森一樣（什麼爛舉例XDD

於是 "No Phun Intended" 的意思又成了「不是有意開玩笑」、「並非刻意娛樂」之類的意思

......我想這或許是說 Tyler 的歌，其旋律跟歌詞的反差吧

雖然這張 NPI 的歌的旋律聽起來不太 fun，但看 Guns For Hands、Screen 等好多好多歌

Tyler 的音樂總是讓人聽得似乎愉快，看了歌詞好像又是另一回事

（但必須說 NPI 的旋律聽起來其實都挺沉重的哈哈）

（來源不明，背景那台車似乎是專輯封面的那台車）

這首歌，應該說這張專輯，有部分歌詞或歌曲都被拿出來重製成之後的歌曲

例如專輯 "Vessel" 裡的 Ode To Sleep 其中有一段歌詞便是從這首的 Verse 3 擷取而生

然後我回頭看了一下自己翻的 Ode To Sleep 的歌詞，突然有不堪回首的感覺XD

以前跟現在比，現在好像比較忠於原句了，比較不會亂衍伸其他意思（吧

所以順便也把 Ode To Sleep 的歌詞重新翻了一版比較直譯的

至於這首歌的歌詞，就跟 Tyler 一貫的風格一樣，在很多矛盾跟心魔之間丟給你一點希望

而且會看到這篇文的應該也是聽過很多 twenty one pilots (或Tyler) 的歌了

所以歌詞就不解析了XD 我想每個人都會有不同的解讀
