Fall Out Boy 的"What a Catch, Donnie"，出自2008年的專輯 "Folie à Deux"
從晚上6點開始翻到現在覺得身心俱疲覺得想吃消夜但是梅姬好恐怖
這首歌的後半部引用很多早期 FOB 歌曲的歌詞
所以只好看一下那幾首歌大概在說什麼才能翻譯，有一次翻了好多首的錯覺（好累
然後就先來解釋一下團名吧！（好突然）
Fall Out Boy 是來自辛普森家族裡的一個角色，Fallout Boy/Fall Out Boy（Fall跟Out連音）
然後在辛普森裡面 Fallout Boy 就是一個關於輻射線之類的角色，戴著眼罩、穿披風
好XD... 他們團名會取成這名字是當初底下歌迷突然大喊這名字的
後來他們就被變成 Fall Out Boy了（沒錯團名的生成通常都很無厘頭）
而 fallout 的意思是「原子塵、輻射塵」
拆開後變成片語 fall out 的意思則是掉落、脫落；隊伍解散；吵架；(結論)出現等等
所以並沒有任何打倒的意思，我也不解何來打倒男孩
如果很不習慣輻射少年之類的譯名就還是叫他們 FOB 吧XD
"What a Catch, Donnie" 這首 Soft rock 抒情搖滾作品
收錄在他們的第四張專輯"Folie à Deux" 是 FOB 眾多作品中稀有的慢節奏抒情歌
要知道 Fall Out Boy 的歌詞創作似乎大多都是由 Pete 擔綱
這首歌也是 Pete 寫的，關於他自己跟主唱 Patrick 的歌
歌曲標題上的 "Donnie"
是一位著名美國黑人靈魂歌手 Donny Hathaway(唐尼‧海瑟威) (1945-1979)
據稱他是罹患精神相關疾病而自殺身亡的
他的工作夥伴兼音樂摯友 Roberta Flack(蘿貝塔‧弗萊克) 得知此事後
陷入悲慟之餘也繼續把原預定兩人合作的專輯給完成 (當時只錄好兩首歌曲Donny就過世了)
在這首"What a Catch, Donnie"中
Donny Hathaway 之於 Roberta Flack
等於 Pete 之於 Patrick 的形象投射
因 Pete 早年患有躁鬱症(bipolar disorder) 自18歲就開始服藥控制
但他26歲時曾試著以大量服下 Avitan(處理焦慮失眠等症狀) 來自殺，後來住院一個禮拜才好轉
而 Patrick 在一定程度上幫助了 Pete 重拾生命的希望，因此現在才有這首歌的存在
（btw這首歌不看註解基本上很難理解... 就算看註解有些地方我也還是不太懂sry T_T）

﹥What a catch這個句子真的很難直接理解，可以形容某人跟你很登對、很速配，這個人是一個適合你的對象就可以說他是a catch，例如：
Wow, I can't believe Sam is dating Melissa...she's quite a catch!
或 I have a girlfriend, she is beautiful, super intelligent and treats me great - what a catch!
另外a catch也可以當作交易市場上買到的好東西，例如：
I found a used Jeep(吉普車) online the other day...low mileage(運費), great engine, reasonable price...man, what a catch!
﹥在這裡我個人把a catch理解成一個完美、很多優點、很讚的人或事物，而歌詞解釋亦有提到說What a catch其實是一種反諷的語氣，所以先提到自己的負面想法跟脆弱自尊之後，再說自己What a catch，有一種我真是太棒了的嘲諷感。

﹥依我的理解......最後的歌詞中，第一句who gave up on you是形容上一句的the one(救贖Pete的人=Patrick)，用了過去式動詞代表那是曾發生的事情，所以翻譯的時候用「一度」；第二句who gave up on you形容的是前面的you，即Pete自己，表示Pete曾經想放棄自己。
﹥另有一版本最後的歌詞為"All I can think of is the way / I'm the one, no, you're the one / who gave up on you, who gave up on you"，但我覺得聽起來比較像charmed the one而不是you’re the one 6_6;;
